HOLY COMMUNITY!

Church is defined from its very beginning as this “Holy Community” that became God’s expression of His Presence in the world.  This week as I gathered with a group of pastors, we were quickly drawn into the conflicts in our churches and churches of this community.  We quickly turned to prayer, because we had so few answers.  Being committed to live out this “Holy Community of Christ Followers” is not an easy pursuit.  Just ask Moses, Jesus, and Paul when you get to heaven. But this is God’s process of making each of our lives strong and mature, preferring each other over our selves, and truly allowing the Lordship of Jesus to take our differences and forge them into a unity that makes a difference in this world for God’s Kingdom.

I was just sent a farewell video that was made for the previous senior pastor I worked for.  Him and I were very good friends. We chased after God, our community, and dreams together.  As I watched, memories flooded back; the conversations of "Whati If", "Can you Imagine", and the dreams we spoke of for the Kingdom of God.  Have you ever had someone to dream with?  Have you partnered with anyone for future big ideas?  "What If" we as a community, within Bethel Assembly, dreamed of huge Kingdom ideas to change our City for the Glory of God.  I already see some of those dreams and visions rising to the surface here within Bethel.  The thing that excites me the most is that the dreams and visions here seem even bigger than what I remembered from that farewell video.  So Bethel Assembly, lets dream and act on what God has for Rapid City and beyond!

We are in our firstfruits series...We are looking at our finances, our spiritual lives, and much more.  Sunday Morning's @ 10am, see you there!

There will be no Wednesday night service due to low temps and blowing snow.  We will be back on next Wednesday at normal times. 

This year think about getting involved in a new ministry or event! 

Check out T7 (Thursday's @ 7pm)!  It is the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of every month for 20's and 30's.  You can be in college or be married with kids...its for everyone in that age range.  Childcare is provided and we will see you there!

Also check out "The Truth Project"!  It is the 1st and 3rd Sunday nights of every month.  It is a great way to explore your faith and develop a Christian Worldview!

Tonight at 7pm we will be hosting a New Year's Eve party in our gym and atrium.  Bring some snacks and have fun as we bring in the New Year together!  See you There!
